Gift or curse
Gift or curse
Without closure, or any signs to guide guide you, sometimes a friend or a family member will just die. Naturally, if you loved that person, a pain will shoot through you, shattering your hearts, ripping out your soul and leave you an empty shell.
When you plant a flower, you must give it time, patience, and love. You must make sure that it gets water, and enough sun, and if it starts to wilt, you think about all the work that you had already put in it, and you do everything you can to make sure that it lives.
For some reason, you can do everything for a person. You can give them love, time, and anything else they need, but in the end, none of that matters. One day, no matter what you had done for them in the past, you can turn around and find that all the love you gave them, backfired on you. If they die they take all that love with them, leaving a gap where your heart used to be, and that makes me wonder: Is it really worth taking such a chance with your soul, that you must still plant flowers in the first place.
All my life my parents have told me that there is nothing greater than love, but in my years I have found that they are right, yet I have also found that there is no greater curse to the mortal soul.
